Columbia FiberArts Guild presents "From Our Hands," a one-day arts event on September 15, 2018, to be held at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church 1535 NE 17th Ave. Portland, from 10-4:30.  The event includes an exhibit of 2- and 3-dimensional textile arts, a fashion show, and a makers' market.  There is crossover membership between CFG and PMQG.  Come see what some of your fellow members are doing!

Over 75 works of art will be on exhibit throughout the day, and will include art quilts, wearable art, and 3-dimensional sculptural pieces.  Ranging from the figurative to the abstract and conceptual, many of these works of art address contemporary issues, while others evoke emotion and contemplation of our beautiful world.

Another highlight of this event will be the fashion show which will take place at 2:30 p.m., presented by the Wearables group.  An artists’ reception will follow the fashion show.

The Artists Market will feature artistic and functional items for purchase.  Guild members have been given the opportunity to present up to five items for the Market.  Hand-painted silk scarves, stitched journals, art dolls and handmade felted vessels are among the items being offered for sale.

The public is invited to come enjoy this one-day event.  Admission is free.
